I feel like it has been a while since I have posted any macro flower photos. That's probably because it has been a while since I have taken any. I find these type of photos need to sit around for a while on my computer before I decide which ones I like best. For example, I was looking through a folder of lilies I shot this spring, and I had never really noticed these two. But I just love them. I can't get enough of this type of shot - it just looks like the life force is spilling from the bloom, into the world. I also like that they border on the abstract, but they are still recognizable when you know what you are looking at. I think they are, anyway. Do you see the flower in these?
